My interest in personal performance and wellness developed when I began suffering from anxiety due to increased pressures at work. In the past I'd always been the one supporting others with their problems and—as is often the case—this commitment to the wellbeing of friends and colleagues made it difficult for me to realise when it was me that needed support.
As my personal and work life became increasing affected by these pressures I almost reached breaking point, eventually turning to a wellbeing and life coach for help.
My experience of being coached led me to realise that I'd been coaching others but without looking after my own wellbeing. Coaching has offered many other insights and I've also read widely on wellness and mental health issues. I now feel that I have a better understanding of myself, have recognised the possibilities in life and feel equipped to tackle the obstacles.
The purpose of this blog is to share my thoughts as I work to develop my understanding of how coaching and meditation techniques can make significant differences to peoples' lives.
